I notice you just posted about the rates of the Airtel modems. My mother is traveling to India and I am curious if the cost of 2000 INR and 2500 INR is for a prepaid internet service or if it requires a postpaid contract. I’ve been looking at the airtel site and its not clear to me.

Also, I am curious if you can estimate what the costs might be monthly for using this modem on a prepaid basis for general internet use. She will be in lucknow.

The rate as of today is : 2000 INR for 7.2Mbps and the 3.6Mbps stick is no longer sold.

yeah… 3.6Mbps Stick is no longer available. And the 7.2Mbps stll in available for just Rs. 1700 in some parts of Bangalore

E1731 for huawei company production.Huawei is a Chinese company.But huawei company did not produce this type of equipment.This equipment is this which made of?

The cost for prepaid and post paid modems is the same, in fact 7.2MBPS is now available for 1999INR. Running cost on the 675 Plan works to INR 675+75INR approx for taxes and approx 200 INR per 1GB browsing over the stipulated limit of 1.25GB as per plan.
